Suor Angelica

Join us for Puccini’s gem, Suor Angelica the second of Il trittico, a collection of three one-act operas. Suor Angelica is a sentimental melodrama, which is set in a convent where the title character Angelica has been sent away from the world to repent her sin and social indiscretion of giving birth out of wedlock. The opera will be performed in italian and an English translation will be made available. Featuring local Canberran artists, including Emma Mauch in the title role and Sonia Anfiloff as La Principessa.
